Jeff White, CLU, ChFC
President and CEO, American Financial Group, Ltd.
Jeff White leads a team of financial specialists serving both domestic and international clients. Operating out of their headquarters in Berwyn, PA (suburban Philadelphia), the American Financial Group of companies includes two SEC registered investment advisory firms, AFMG and IFG/Russell and the parent company, AFG, founded by Jeff in 1984.
AFG, AFMG and IFG/Russell are unusually well connected to international financial organizations and bring to their clients the “knowledge capital” generated by such global financial research firms as Russell Investments and Standard & Poor. Clients include public and private companies, law firms, healthcare systems, universities and foundations as well as a large number of individuals. Services include global asset management, executive compensation, employee benefits as well as life and health insurance.
A specific focus is investment consulting work for foundations and endowments done in concert with Russell Investments. The need for foundations to make distributions; conserve capital and aspire to a growing rate of distribution has led to effective disciplines designed to modulate investment volatility and enhance long term yields. The global market and manager research embedded in these services gives clients of IFG/Russell Advisors an unusual depth and breadth of asset management resources.
Another focus is assisting retiring executives transitioning from a concentration of assets in the stock of their company to a diversified income producing series of investment portfolios. Often, these executives have large deferred compensation assets as well access to which is an ongoing issue since the executive is an “unsecured creditor” of the corporate sponsor of such plans. Retirees face similar needs to foundations as noted above. Working with each client group has led to enhanced asset management services for both.
The combination of investment advisory teams of AFMG and IFG/Russell and the executive compensation team of AFG can prove invaluable in structuring transition plans for their executive clients. Mr. White and his associates are nationally recognized for their work in the design, funding and distribution strategies for non-qualified deferred compensation plans.
Given the increasing volatility of the US Dollar relative to other world currencies, clients of AFMG enjoy access to FDIC insured CD’s denominated in various foreign currencies as well as high dividend paying equities also denominated in the leading currencies of the world..
In the insurance area, Mr. White has been a marketing leader for a number of the largest insurance companies in the world. In the belief that no one insurance company offers the best coverage and underwriting services, AFG and its specialists are licensed with over 20 leading companies and offer each client a comparative analysis of the policies and services of all 20.
